More than Budget$ is a financial literacy service project that promotes independence and stability for homeless individuals who are temporarily housed in shelters.

The mission of More than Budget$ is to address some of the strongest predictors of homelessness; poor financial knowledge and behaviors associated with undesirable financial outcomes.

We seek to improve financial knowledge and encourage behavioral changes related to budget planning and management, credit repair and maintenance, and saving practices. The More than Budget$ model takes into consideration the special circumstances of the homeless, including unusually low-incomes.
